Caroline Liu b. 1986

 Caroline Liu is an Albuquerque based bicultural artist whose work spans across various mediums including painting, drawing, murals, and fiber art. She received a Bachelors in Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico and has exhibited work nationally and internationally in both gallery and commercial settings, including partnerships with major brands like Meta, Google, and Meow Wolf.

Liu’s distinctive style bridges realistic and illustrative motifs to create densely packed magical environments that tote the line between light and dark, real and imagined. From large-scale murals to multimedia works on canvas, Liu draws inspiration from her own memories, nostalgia, culture, and identity to spark larger conversations around themes of grief and joy, love and loss, past and present moments. Her work evokes a sense of familiarity and curiosity that allow viewers to jump into her visual narratives and breathe in the magic around them.
